non-profit management press releases organizational skills communication fundraising research business administration data collectionThe Kamloops Therapeutic Riding Association (KTRA) aims to enhance its funding strategy by understanding the donation cycles of local companies and corporations. The project involves researching and compiling a comprehensive spreadsheet that details when these organizations allocate their donation funding. This will enable KTRA to strategically plan their outreach efforts and maximize potential funding opportunities. The project requires learners to apply their research and data organization skills to gather accurate information from various sources, such as company websites, press releases, and direct communication with corporate representatives. The goal is to create a user-friendly and easily updatable resource that KTRA can utilize for future fundraising initiatives. This project will provide learners with practical experience in data collection, organization, and analysis, aligning with their academic program's focus on business administration or nonprofit management.
The primary deliverable is a well-organized spreadsheet that lists local companies and corporations, along with detailed information on their donation funding schedules. The spreadsheet should include company names, contact information, donation allocation periods, and any relevant notes on their funding criteria. Additionally, a brief report summarizing the research process and any challenges encountered should be provided. This deliverable will serve as a valuable tool for KTRA's fundraising efforts, ensuring they can effectively plan their donation requests.
