Details

Canadian Hadassah-WIZO (CHW) is seeking to enhance its funding capabilities by identifying new grant opportunities and crafting compelling grant applications. This project aims to provide students with practical experience in nonprofit fundraising, focusing on the development of a strategic approach to grant acquisition. Students will conduct research to identify potential grant sources that align with CHW’s mission and objectives. They will analyze the requirements and criteria of these grants to ensure compatibility with CHW’s goals. The project will also involve drafting sections of grant applications, allowing students to apply their classroom knowledge in writing and strategy development. By the end of the project, students will have contributed to a comprehensive grant strategy that CHW can implement to increase its funding.

Deliverables

The project deliverables include a detailed report identifying at least five new grant opportunities suitable for CHW. Students will also produce a draft of a grant application, focusing on key sections such as the statement of need, objectives, and budget outline. Additionally, a strategic plan document outlining steps for future grant applications will be developed. These deliverables will provide CHW with actionable insights and tools to enhance their fundraising efforts.
