Planet Cents, Inc. aims to enhance its market positioning by understanding the competitive landscape within the sustainable products industry. Our research projects involve any of the following, dependent upon current staff at Planet Cents:


  1. Conducting comprehensive competitive market research to identify key competitors, their strengths, weaknesses, and market strategies. This analysis will help Planet Cents to refine its marketing strategies and identify opportunities for differentiation. The goal is to equip Planet Cents with actionable intelligence that can be used to enhance its competitive edge. By focusing on competitors' product offerings, pricing strategies, and marketing tactics, the team will provide insights that can inform Planet Cents' strategic decisions.
  2. Conducting comprehensive partner research to identify the various partners, their needs and ours, and partnering potential. The goal is to equip Planet Cents with actionable intelligence that can be used to identify and gauge the viability of partnerships utilizing various criteria.
  3. Conducting comprehensive research to identify the various organizational buyers, their needs and ours, to discern our product/market fit, and direction potential. The goal is to equip Planet Cents with actionable intelligence that can be used to identify and gauge the best organizational targets consistent with our initial marketplace launch.
  4. Conducting comprehensive grant funding research based upon a specific set of criteria in order to gauge the most viable grant opportunities, and execute on those as needed. The goal of this is to generate a report of actionable opportunities for grant funding.


All of our projects will require learners to apply their knowledge of market research methodologies, data analysis, critical thinking, and the ability to follow specific criteria. All projects will provide insights that can inform Planet Cents' strategic and tactical decisions.

Deliverables

The deliverables for these projects include detailed reports that outlines the findings of the comprehensive research and market analysis.


  1. The competitive market research: This report should include a SWOT analysis of key competitors, a comparison of their market strategies, and recommendations for Planet Cents. Additionally, a presentation summarizing the key insights and strategic recommendations will be prepared for Planet Cents' management team. The deliverables will provide Planet Cents with a clear understanding of its competitive landscape and actionable strategies to improve its market position.
  2. The partner research: This report should include enhanced partner lists, adding additional information collected, and recommendations on strategic and tactical directions for Planet Cents. Additionally, a presentation summarizing the key insights and strategic recommendations will be prepared for Planet Cents' management team. The deliverables will provide Planet Cents with a clear understanding of its partner landscape and actionable strategies and tactics to improve its market position.
  3. The organizational buyer research: This report should include consolidated lists, adding additional information collected, and recommendations on strategic and tactical directions for Planet Cents. Additionally, a presentation summarizing the key insights and strategic recommendations will be prepared for Planet Cents' management team. The deliverables will provide Planet Cents with a clear understanding of its organizational buyer landscape and actionable strategies and tactics to improve its market position.
  4. Grant research: This report should include lists of the most-viable grantors, based on specific criteria. Additionally, there should be recommendations on strategic and tactical directions for Planet Cents based on this research. A presentation summarizing the key insights and strategic recommendations will be prepared for Planet Cents' management team. The deliverables will provide Planet Cents with a clear understanding of its grant funding landscape and actionable strategies and tactics to improve its grant funding opportunities.
