- What is the main goal for this project?

AM Cleaning YYC is excited to be looking for an enthusiastic individual to take on a website upgrade project within our organization. We hope to update and revamp our existing website to attract more customers.
We would like to work with students on our current website that is easy to maintain while providing an appealing interface for users.
This will involve several different steps for the students, including:
- improve our current site (i.e. addition of company information tabs/ newsletter integration/ etc.)
- optimize SEO's
- add more functionality and improve e-commerce.
- create an employee portal
- upload employee manuals into employee portal
- create a search engine within the employee portal to access information within online manuals
- Assisting the management team with all aspects of website and application design.
- Assisting with the testing and maintenance of back-end and front-end applications.
- Brainstorming new tech applications.
- Converting video, audio, written, and graphic components into compatible formats for the web.
- Using user/admin feedback to identify and correct problems.
- What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:
- Understanding of website platform options
- Significant SEO understanding and how it relates to each industry specifically
- Recommendations for website maintenance
- Understand and implement e-commerce tools to maximize sales and market exposure
Bonus steps would include:
- Testing the website with users and making improvements based on user input
Final deliverables should include
- An optimized website for better performance and functionality for users and administration.
- A final report.

Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:
- Our current products and website design
- Our customer and industry insights
- Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.
- What skills or technologies will help learners to complete the project?

Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in information technology, computer science, or a similar field would be beneficial.
- Solid understanding of web design and development principles.
- Good planning, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Critical-thinking skills.
- Flexibility in the workplace.
- Understanding of e-commerce, B2C.
- Goal-orientated and deadline-driven.
