What is the main goal for this project?

Wings Of Hope for Africa, a Calgary-based non-profit organization, as a Volunteer Grant Writer. We are a registered charity committed to empowering families and communities, developing self-sufficiency programs, and ending poverty in Burundi, Rwanda, and Calgary, Canada.


What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

As a Volunteer Grant Writer, you will be instrumental in our mission. Your role will involve researching grant opportunities, crafting compelling proposals, and assisting in the submission process. Your work will directly contribute to our various programs, including our annual "Back to School" program, which provides school essentials to children in Burundi, and our Hope For Kids Canada initiative, which offers financial support to low-income families and single parents in Calgary.

How will you support learners in completing the project?

Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

About the company

Wings of Hope for Africa Foundation is a Canadian registered non-profit organization based in Calgary, Alberta. Founded in 2011, we are dedicated to improving the quality and value of life of children and families in Alberta, and Burundi and Rwanda, East Africa. Our mission is to relieve poverty by implementing self-sufficient projects which include: agriculture initiatives, providing basic tools for education, aiding with health care provisions and medical supplies to persons in need. We provide financial support to low-income families and single parents of school-age children in Calgary, Alberta,and donate to other Alberta-based organizations that are in line with our goals. We strive to create equal opportunities for everyone and to see the poor uplifted from desperate poverty to joyful self-sufficiency.
