Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

We are a 1 year old restaurant establishing itself in a new territory. We would like to develop our marketing as we want to reach a new customer demographic.

Together with our marketing team, we would like students to design promotional material for this demographic. Based on our insights and additional research, students will develop promotional marketing materials for our existing media and make recommendations on alternative media to consider.

Tasks include:

  • Familiarizing themselves with our target market, products and services.
  • Researching the new customer demographic that we would like to reach.
  • Assessing our existing marketing strategy and efforts.
  • Recommending marketing tactics to attract new customers.
  • Designing promotional material for various media.
  • Making multiple versions of marketing materials and testing them for comparison.
  • Recommending other demographics to consider in the future.
What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

  • Familiarity with our target market, products and services
  • Understanding of the customer demographic
  • Assessment of our marketing strategy
  • Recommendation of marketing tactics
  • Design of promotional material

Bonus steps would include:

  • Creating and testing marketing materials
  • Recommending demographics to reach in the future

Final deliverables should include

  • A final report.
  • A 10-minute presentation.
