Project Description: Website development

Welcome to Re:Pair Genomics! We are thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for talented students to contribute to our innovative project, Website development.

Main Goal:

The primary objective of this project is to 1) create a mobile version of our company website; 2) Resolve any current issues we have with the website; 3) develop a PRODUCTS page on the website. We want students to not only understand the significance of their contributions but also feel confident that the project is manageable within a realistic timeframe of 60 hours, spread over 2-8 weeks.

Deliverables

Project Scope and Expectations:

During this project, students will work as a team to split the tasks. As our company is planning to launch our products in Q3-Q4 of 2025, we would like to have our company website fully functional. We will ask students to help modify the website with our updated contents. In addition, we don't have a mobile-friendly version of the site and would like the students to work on that. Lastly, we aim to have at least a layout of the PRODUCTS page on WordPress, so that once we have the catalog ready, we'll upload all the contents and can publish the webpage later in the year. We would like all this work to be completed in the 8 week period.

Company Overview:

At Re:Pair Genomics, we pride ourselves on using AI to design synthetic DNA regulatory elements for gene therapies and other biological tools to target specific cell types and organs. Our algorithm is fast and accurate, with designs generated within a day. This project offers students an opportunity to gain insights into our company culture, values, and the impactful work we do.

Project Details:

Provide more detailed information about the project, breaking down tasks and milestones. This includes:

  • Week 1: identify all the issues/glitches on the website and begin resolving the issues
  • Week 2: begin developing the mobile version of the website
  • Week 6/7: create the layout of the PRODUCTS page

Final Deliverables:

Provide details about what the student will upload to the platform as their final deliverable(s).

  • Students will be given access to the WordPress account to work on the website directly.
  • For the students to receive a stipend from Riipen, please take a screenshot of the PRODUCTS page layout on WordPress, as well as take a photo of the mobile version of the company's landing page and upload those on the Riipen platform.

For students: To validate the completion of your work, please submit deliverables as uploaded files with a reflection note at the end of your project. These files can take various formats, including Word documents, PDFs, JPEG images, presentations, and more. We request tangible proof or an example showcasing your completed work. If the project involved an Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), please provide redacted deliverables or a sample of non-confidential work.

Benefits for Students:

  • Opportunity to work for a biotech startup company
  • Freedom-to-operate
  • Potential networking opportunities
  • Apply your skills in an industry setting

Re:Pair Genomics uses AI to design compact synthetic promoters, which are DNA
sequences required for gene therapies to target specific cell types. Rather than
spending six months to a year to design and validate promoters manually, our
algorithm can produce designs ready for testing within a day.
