Our company has been serving thousands of customers for decades. We want to revamp our appointment system as it is outdated, and we would like to make the scheduling process more convenient and flexible for customers.

We would like to collaborate with students to develop an improved appointment system.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

• Familiarizing themselves with our company’s target market, products and services.
• Researching scheduling software options and their features.
• Selecting the best technologies for our appointment scheduling and recommending plans for implementation.
• Recommending new features to include in our appointment scheduling system.

Bonus steps in the process would also include:

• Recommending improvements to our internal scheduling system.

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

• Familiarity with our target market, products and services
• Understanding of scheduling software options and features
• Selection of suitable technologies
• Recommendation of new features

Bonus steps would include:

• Recommending changes to our internal scheduling system

Final deliverables should include

• A final report.
• A presentation.

Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

• Our products and services
• Our current platform and scheduling system
• Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.

In order to complete this project, students can self-teach, but it is beneficial to be familiar with:

• Scheduling systems and software

Again, students can complete this project without any of the prior knowledge listed here. Students will be expected to research and learn more about the above as the project goes along.
