What is the main goal for this project?

Our company has dozens of employees with diverse backgrounds and experiences. We want to better recognize their hard work and show our appreciation.

We would like to collaborate with students to develop an employee recognition program.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

  • Defining objectives for our employee recognition program.
  • Researching successful recognition programs.
  • Recommending suitable ways to recognize our employees.
  • Developing a plan to track the program’s effectiveness.

Bonus steps in the process would also include:

  • Recommending ways to promote our program and raise awareness.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

  • Definition of program objectives
  • Research of successful programs
  • Recommendation of ways to recognize employees
  • Development of a plan to monitor our program

Bonus steps would include:

  • Recommending program promotion strategies

Final deliverables should include

Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

  • Our current human resources initiatives
  • Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.

In order to complete this project, students can self-teach, but it is beneficial to be familiar with:

  • Employee recognition programs

Again, students can complete this project without any of the prior knowledge listed here. Students will be expected to research and learn more about the above as the project goes along.
