This will involve several different steps for the students, including:
- Cold calling and cold emailing potential customers.
- Managing sales funnels and handling inbound and outbound leads.
- Setting up calls and booking calls with the founder if there is an issue closing the lead.
- Learning how to meet customers where they are at, how to effectively sell and use psychology while also understanding not all leads are an ideal customer.
- Overcoming objections and growing an external sales team.
By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:
- Understanding of the sales process and customer development strategies.
- Ability to effectively cold call and cold email potential customers.
- Ability to manage sales funnels and handle inbound and outbound leads.
- Ability to set up calls and book calls with the founder when needed.
- Understanding of how to meet customers where they are at, how to effectively sell and use psychology while also understanding not all leads are an ideal customer.
- Ability to overcome objections and grow an external sales team.
Final deliverables should include:
- A written report detailing the sales process and customer development strategies.
- A presentation summarizing the strategies used and the results achieved.
Learners will be mentored and will also be compensated with commission in addition to college credits. In addition to mentorship they will be provided with an in-depth referral letter upon review of good performance and will also receive a structured case study of their success for future application for employment use.
