This project aims to enhance the financial recordkeeping and reporting processes at Build AZ by leveraging the skills and knowledge of accounting students from ASU’s W. P. Carey School of Business. The primary goal is to assist in day-to-day accounting tasks, support monthly reconciliations, and contribute to the preparation of internal reports and financial summaries. Students will collaborate with team members on budgeting and forecasting projects, ensuring data accuracy and identifying opportunities for process improvements. The project provides an opportunity for learners to gain hands-on experience with accounting software and best practices, applying their classroom knowledge in a real-world setting. By the end of the project, students will have a deeper understanding of financial operations within a business context.

- Completion of monthly financial reconciliations and data entry tasks.

- Preparation of at least two internal financial reports and summaries.

- A collaborative budgeting and forecasting presentation with recommendations for process improvements.

- A final report detailing the experience, challenges faced, and lessons learned, including suggestions for future enhancements in financial recordkeeping and reporting processes.
