What is the main goal for this project?

Tea & Grazing is a travelling tea room that offers a unique and eclectic experience for enjoying tea. During the warm season, we roam the south coast of England, setting up at fairs and markets. The launch phase of Tea & Grazing is complete and the branding has been well received in the region of East Sussex. The Markets and Fairs are a resounding success, but business is slow for the primary business of Tea Tastings. This is due to a lack of staff resources required to mine for new clients and identify new strategies for lead generation.

The website is also in need of improvements as new products and offerings have grown since the launch.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?


 Challenge Outline: 

We are looking to increase our client and customer base. Our student consultancy project involves market and competitor research, and ideas for creative strategies. 

Key aims/objectives: 

  1. Market Research: brainstorm marketing ideas and activities in the Sussex region where the product may receive heightened visibility. 
  2. We would also value your personal opinions on actual product offerings (cakes or sandwiches that would appeal to a diverse demographic, for example) 
  3. Competitive analysis: research similar product demos on TikTok and share why you think some attract more engagement than others 
  4. Creative Strategies for Business: Review and make recommendations for our SEO to target internet savvy customers and curb appeal 
  5. Stretch question is time allows: Business Development & Research: (with support from Kim and database resources via BIPC at Jubilee Library) Identify new clients for bookings and sales – students will research to identify a list of new potential clients (but will not proactively contact them). 



How will you support learners in completing the project?

I will be available via zoom, email or prescheduled meetings i person for the entirety of the two week project.

I will share all available resources to students.
