Sustainability concerns are a strategic issue for organizations across all sectors. In the last few years, organizations across the globe have made significant shifts in their operational strategies to balance the requirements for economic development, environmental quality, and social justice.In this course, student consultants from Arizona State University will work with your organization to assess existing sustainability performance, support the development of practices, products, and/or strategies to improve financial, social and environmental performance of your product or organization.

Students will work on projects for the participating companies, similar to an internship. In order to be placed with a particular company students will apply (write a German style job application, conduct job interviews) and undergo a “trainee program” to learn office and customer communication. In the second half of the semester, students will work in small groups on projects for the companies. At the end of the semester the projects will be presented in written and oral format. The common goal of the projects is to develop or realize sustainability goals for the respective companies. This could be a marketing campaign, internal communication, product placement or anything else related to the company's needs. We will cooperate with Prof. Daniel Fischer for expertise on sustainability related topics and projects.

Student consultants from Arizona State University are ready to begin offering their expertise this fall. Student consultants will help your organization understand user needs with regard to information technologies used for various aspects of healthcare (e.g. clinical settings, community settings, public health settings, personal IT). In sum, students will provide their expertise to uncover insights into challenges or opportunities specific to your organization.

In this project, 4-5 teams of 2nd year MBA students will analyze your brand strategy and develop strategic recommendations to support your brand's success in the marketplace. Specifically, students will assess the brand's positioning and target market, evaluate the brand's elements and integrated marketing communications strategy, and understand the brand's ability to leverage its equity for growth.

Our students are well equipped with the knowledge, training, and critical thinking skills to evaluate important health questions, generate relevant data, and apply results to address critical biomedical challenges by improving transcultural communication with Spanish speaking clients.These opportunities could be virtual at any location or on-site if possible.

Energy Efficiency is a combined senior technical elective and graduate course with primarily mechanical engineering students. The goal is to enable the students to analyze energy-efficiency opportunities in buildings and industrial processes, and to innovate and implement energy efficiency technologies.

The on-campus MS-BA is a full-time, 9-month program in the business school. Students gain experience in advanced descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive data analysis methods while using the most current tools, packages, and platforms for data analysis. Teams of 3-4 students work on the projects from January through April. Each project includes a kick-off session, weekly syncs with the client, a mid-term presentation, a final presentation, a final report, and other associated deliverables as required (if you would like additional meetings, please note them in your project submission).We have worked on over 150 applied projects with approximately 50 companies over the last 5 years. There is no sponsorship fee, we sign NDAs, and the client retains ownership of IP. Since this is a course on U.S. foreign policy (POS361: American Foreign Policy) , anything related to this subject will be encouraged. Organizations can propose specific tasks upon which students agree to work. Please remember that this is a summer course, so the timeline is condensed. It begins June 30th and ends on August 10th.

Graduates often pursue careers working with children, youth, and adults in human, social and government agencies.In this experience students will delve into their area(s) of interest, developing a greater depth and understanding of topics that influence children, youth, and families, and that further the student's academic and professional goals.Capstone 3 students need to complete at least 40 hours of hands on experience that relates to their interests and their field of study. These hours must be completed during a 6-7 week-long capstone course. Students can complete these projects as individuals or teams.

This course is an online 8 week course on healthcare management for students in the Arizona State University Doctor of Behavioral Health degree program. Students represent clinical (e.g., social workers, counselors, nurses) and management (public health, health policy and administration, operations and finance, marketing). Our students are located across the United States, most are mature professionals with 10+ years of experience in the field. The Doctor of Behavioral Health is focused on integrated health care, the team-based, coordinated approach to prevention and improved management of medical, lifestyle, psychiatric and substance abuse problems in primary care and other settings. This course is focused on applied management homework assignments that may be ideal for a Riipen partner. General topics covered in this course include quality improvement, managing finance and budgets, managing health technologies, Human Resources, organizational dynamics and healthcare marketing.

MAE 589 Heat Transfer is a graduate mechanical engineering class taken by master's and PhD students, usually from mechanical engineering but also from aerospace engineering and other disciplines. These students have generally had an undergraduate course on the same material, so they come into the class already with basic skills in heat transfer. They are capable of conducting analysis, including finite element analysis (FEA) using Ansys or other packages, and designing thermal solutions as a part of product development or other engineering applications.

This course provides an introduction to the essential entrepreneurship skills for the healthcare professional. The course focuses on how to create a business plan for a new business venture or an existing organization to meet the needs of the evolving healthcare marketplace. The student will complete the following:Create a formal business plan for a health care or related organization.Create strategies to demonstrate the value of a health care business plan.Consult with key organization stakeholders on the plan.Make a pitch to key stakeholders on the business plan.Practice using social media for marketing (Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin)Describe strategies and techniques for a successful health care consulting practice

My students are upper division undergraduates who have been trained in statistical analysis, scientific research design, psychological theories, and product/process design. They have been certified for human subjects research and can conduct UX, usability testing, surveys, and experimental research. Areas of competence would include education, management, market analysis, transportation, and organizational behavior.

Workplace coaches are increasingly used to foster employee development. Coaching is distinct from training, in that it’s customized and focuses on the individual’s personal abilities to effect change and growth. This is a complement to workplace training, particularly for ongoing leadership development. In this project, students will develop a competency-based coaching plan for one of your team leaders/supervisory staff to help them resolve a workplace conflict situation. The student links your organization's goals with a specific outcome-based conflict resolution plan.

The purpose of this course is to help graduate students develop a deep understanding and skills necessary to transition from teacher to administrator in the context of language education. This course will explore practical applications of theory as they relate to successful program administration and development. It will provide an overview of the major issues language program administrators face, including but not limited to needs analysis, curricular development, program articulation, teacher training and supervision, program promotion and evaluation, and technology integration.

This could be done in a myriad of ways: a marketing campaign, public relations, a CSR analysis, educational materials, or anything else related to sustainability.In this project, students working in teams will apply their creativity, interdisciplinary acumen, and training in applied ethics and business ecology to meet your company’s needs.

Students from Arizona State University's "Practical Data Analysis and Visualization using R" course will work with your organization to spot trends and relationships inside any large data set. Students will submit their recommendations and conclusions to decision-makers of the company.

The capstone design course is the culmination of the entire chemical engineering curriculum. The course intends to give students experience in finding a satisfactory solution for an open-ended problem of the students choosing, which has more than one solution. The design project is carried out in engineering teams of the students’ choosing. A project involving each team gives valuable experience in planning, division of work, and maintaining individual accountability within a framework of group success. Students will apply economic/value-generation principles to optimize equipment selection and design; process safety; development and design of process systems.

This Capstone Project for the Software Engineering program at ASU provides students an opportunity to apply their technical skill and knowledge of engineering principles in a team-oriented development of a complex software project, system, or device. Students will work in teams to develop a product of your choosing from concept to implementation.
