Do you need a small group of students to help with legal or business projects?Students can help gather, organize, and analyze information related to your business and/or legal needs. In small groups (2-4), we can tackle a broad spectrum of legal or business projects using the advanced R statistical software environment. Data analysis has become particularly important for the legal industry, such as environmental, immigration, and corporate law, as well as criminology generally speaking. Although undergraduate students enrolled in POS401: Political Statistics prefer to work in a legal profession, we are accepting any organization that requires data analysis. Organizations can propose specific tasks upon which students agree to work.

The focus of this course is projects on population health management in healthcare settings: patient identification and outreach, screening and risk-stratification, stepped-care treatment to target, follow-up and evaluation. Students are doctoral students with an existing management degree enrolled in either a clinical concentration (e.g., social workers, counselors, nurses, occupational therapists, etc.) or management concentration (M.B.A, M.H.A., M.P.H, etc.). The student written assignments require they identify a population for the course, conduct a literature review based on a defined intervention, then design and evaluation of a population health program, including the program costs and anticipated return on investment (ROI). This course and students are well suited for Riipen partner companies that include population health management programs. Students work with partner Riipen companies as individuals or in small groups based on interest. This is an 8 week intensive course.

Students will work on projects for the participating companies, similar to an internship. In order to be placed with a particular company students will apply (write a German style job application, conduct job interviews) and undergo a “trainee program” to learn office and customer communication. In the second half of the semester, students will work in small groups on projects for the companies. At the end of the semester the projects will be presented in written and oral format. The common goal of the projects is to develop or realize goals for the respective companies. This could be a marketing campaign, internal communication, product placement or anything else related to the company's needs.

The purpose of this course is to enable students to specify and/or design such systems for application in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.

This course aims to connect students your company to gain insights on the creation of an entrepreneurial venture as well as the development of an innovative, entrepreneurial and team approach to business. While students will gain an awareness of the experiences an entrepreneur will have in practice, you will benefit from eager minds that will be able to bring fresh perspectives to you and your business.Students will also be expected to learn to define themselves as an artist while identifying a need in the community. This involves creating a marketable personal portfolio.

Graduates often pursue careers working with children, youth, and adults in human, social and government agencies.In this experience students will delve into their area(s) of interest, developing a greater depth and understanding of topics that influence children, youth, and families, and that further the student's academic and professional goals.Capstone 3 students need to complete at least 40 hours of hands on experience that relates to their interests and their field of study. These hours must be completed during a 6-7 week-long capstone course. Students can complete these projects as individuals or teams.

This course provides an introduction to the essential entrepreneurship skills for the healthcare professional. The course focuses on how to create a business plan for a new business venture or an existing organization to meet the needs of the evolving healthcare marketplace. The student will complete the following:Create a formal business plan for a health care or related organization.Create strategies to demonstrate the value of a health care business plan.Consult with key organization stakeholders on the plan.Make a pitch to key stakeholders on the business plan.Practice using social media for marketing (Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin)Describe strategies and techniques for a successful health care consulting practice

MAE 589 Heat Transfer is a graduate mechanical engineering class taken by master's and PhD students, usually from mechanical engineering but also from aerospace engineering and other disciplines. These students have generally had an undergraduate course on the same material, so they come into the class already with basic skills in heat transfer. They are capable of conducting analysis, including finite element analysis (FEA) using Ansys or other packages, and designing thermal solutions as a part of product development or other engineering applications.

Students from Arizona State University's "Practical Data Analysis and Visualization using R" course will work with your organization to spot trends and relationships inside any large data set. Students will submit their recommendations and conclusions to decision-makers of the company.

Via short (1.5 week) sprints, changing student teams will apply their entrepreneurial and new venture knowledge, critical analyses, and business strategies/design skills to propose solutions for corporations to create, test, scale and renew new ideas based on current competitive advantage(s) or internal objectives. The intent will be to help companies ideate around novel ways to establish, develop and/or grow their organization, undertake a new development, resolve an issue or problem, and/or accomplish a business pivot. Based on a combination of internal analysis (based on resources the companies provide) and external research, student teams will provide strategic recommendations appropriate to the sponsoring corporations business situation.

Founders Lab is a course-based opportunity for students to "experience" entrepreneurship. This program, sponsored by the Center for Entrepreneurship at the W. P. Carey School of Business, achieves this by taking participants through a journey that includes individual learning and reflection, team creation, idea selection, and the development of a startup concept validated through traction. This experience is far more than business planning, as it requires some level of proven traction (aka. a plan with no action is not sufficient).
