Additionally, the project will consider the challenges posed by short-term and Ministry of Health (MOH)-based funding and the complexities of working within multiple networks and advocating across sectors. Réseau ACCESS Network, a 35-year-old organization, is nearing the end of its current strategic plan in 2025. The organization focuses on key areas such as HIV/HCV, Harm Reduction, 2S-LGBTQIA+, PWLLE/PWUD Healthcare, wrap-around services, and holistic supports. The goal of this project is to develop a new strategic plan along with an operational implementation plan that will guide the organization for the next five years. The plan should address the needs of priority populations including PWLLE, PWUD, Women, Indigenous, and ACB communities. This project will provide learners with an opportunity to apply their knowledge in strategic planning, healthcare, and community services to create a comprehensive and actionable plan.
Transgender Healthcare Awareness Campaign
The Réseau ACCESS Network aims to address the critical issue of inadequate healthcare services for transgender community members. The project seeks to increase public knowledge and understanding of the healthcare disparities faced by the transgender community. By leveraging social media platforms, the campaign will highlight the urgent need for equitable health coverage and garner support for funding initiatives. The goal is to create a compelling and informative social media campaign that educates the public, engages stakeholders, and drives actionable support for improved healthcare services for transgender individuals. This initiative seeks to foster a better understanding and acceptance of Harm Reduction strategies within the community. The project involves capturing the experiences and workflows of nurses, case managers, and outreach teams. The goal is to create an engaging and informative toolkit that includes stories, pathway mapping, and patient quotes, making it a valuable resource for direct service providers. The toolkit will be built upon three years of data and program progression, incorporating best practices and examples from existing toolkits. The project will utilize Design Pickle and Canva Pro for graphic design needs.
