What is the main goal for this project?

We are currently in the process of developing an immersive well being experience to be delivered through a VR application. The current state of the project is having five "spaces", each with a different exercise which has been proven to help with general well being and mental health.


The goal of this project is to conduct research that supports the use of virtual reality and video games to help with mental health and general well being. This will involve several different steps for the students, including:


- Researching existing studies on the use of virtual reality and video games for mental health and well being.


- Developing a comprehensive report on the findings of the research.


- Identifying potential applications of virtual reality and video games for mental health and well being.


- Exploring the potential risks and benefits of using virtual reality and video games for mental health and well being.


- Developing a plan for implementing virtual reality and video games for mental health and well being.


What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:


- Understanding of existing studies on the use of virtual reality and video games for mental health and well being.


- Identification of potential applications of virtual reality and video games for mental health and well being.


- Understanding of the potential risks and benefits of using virtual reality and video games for mental health and well being.


- Development of a plan for implementing virtual reality and video games for mental health and well being.

How will you support learners in completing the project?

We will support learners by providing all the current research we have done to date. As well as, showcasing the development so far.

You'll be working closely with myself and our lead developer, in order to gain a better understanding of how our processes for development work and how you can contribute to bring a product to market.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable work experience and play a pivotal role in bringing a product to the market. Which will be an outstanding piece to have on your CV and portfolio.

What skills or technologies will help learners to complete the project?

In order to complete this project, students can self-teach, but it is beneficial to be familiar with:


- Research methods and data analysis.


- Mental health and well being.


- Virtual reality and video game technology.


- Risk and benefit assessment.


- Project management.



Students will be expected to research and learn more about the above as the project goes along.

About the company

We are a software development company located in West Yorkshire, UK. We offer a wide range of services including app development for mobile, web and VR. Our main business is providing a service to clients from around the world however more recently we are pivoting towards developing our own apps and content.
Our recent development is a the "Learning Lions" mobile app and colouring books which encourage children to learn the alphabet, words and shapes through colouring. We have since created a TikTok shop which we would like to drive sales through as well as creating engaging content which will result in sales of the app and books. Future plans are to create a cartoon series for YouTube.
