The Centre for Culturally Integrative Responses (CCIR), established by the Muslim Resource Centre for Social Support and Integration (MRCSSI), aims to strengthen culturally meaningful responses to family violence in diverse cultural communities across Canada. This project seeks to develop a comprehensive business strategy plan to guide CCIR’s future growth, partnerships, and community impact.

Students will collaborate with CCIR and MRCSSI to design a strategy that builds on over 15 years of experience in culturally integrative practice. The project will involve:

Conducting background research on culturally informed family violence responses nationally and internationally.

Analyzing CCIR’s core activities, including research, capacity building, training, community dialogue, and consultancy.

Documenting and leveraging MRCSSI’s on-the-ground practices as a foundation for strategic development.

Designing a business strategy that enhances CCIR’s operational sustainability, community partnerships, and knowledge mobilization efforts.

Proposing multiple implementation models to support evidence-based, culturally integrated approaches for preventing and responding to family violence. www.ccir.info/about

Conducting market research to assess needs, opportunities, and service gaps in culturally integrative family violence responses across Canada.

Analyzing the competitive landscape, including other organizations and frameworks addressing similar issues at local, provincial, and national levels.

Planning a service-based product, such as a consultancy model, training platform, or knowledge-sharing hub, based on CCIR’s research, expertise, and community partnerships.

Developing a business strategy that outlines operational models, stakeholder engagement, sustainability options, and growth opportunities.

Recommending actionable strategies to support CCIR’s long-term vision, including funding models, digital presence, and community-based marketing.
