Tourism Sun Peaks is transitioning from being a destination marketing-focused organization to being an experience-focused destination management organization with a customer-centric user experience and streamlined internal management workflows. The end-game is to provide the Sun Peaks team with data-driven insights to guide strategic decisions and a streamlined booking management workflow while providing guests with a frictionless interface through which to book their entire Sun Peaks experience including concerts, cultural experiences, accommodation, lift tickets and more.

Deliverables

Learners will be engaged in the integration and customization industry-leading digital solutions in the destination management organization (DMO)/tourism space. The solution will also likely leverage advanced scraping and scripting tools for data collection; AI-powered agents for task automation where helpful, or where traditional API-based approaches are not possible. The project will include both custom a microservice backend and frontend UX/UI design and development.


The ideal background for learners are those with backend or frontend software development skills. While the stack for this project has not yet been selected, a strong foundation in general software development principles, the use of restful APIs, and exposure to node.js, react, next.js, and related technologies would be an asset.


Learners will ride shotgun with the development team, producing both POC and production-ready code for this solution.
