- What is the main goal for this project?

Our organization is passionate about promoting environmental causes. We want to increase awareness about the devastation of unsustainable agriculture to the Amazon Rainforest in Sumaco, Ecuador.
Our goal is to encourage donations to purchase land that will be managed by a community-tourism foundation, Amarun Pacha. Our clients in Ecuador speak Spanish and Kichwa. Therefore, an understanding of Spanish would be helpful.
We would like to collaborate with students to create an awareness video.
This will involve several different steps for the students, including:
- Familiarizing themselves with the environmental cause, our mission and goals.
- Recording a presentation or screencast to raise awareness on the issue.
- Finding and applying suitable background music.
- Adding text, transitions, and overlays to the video.
Bonus steps in the process would also include:
- Presenting the video and making edits based on feedback.
- Recommending ideas and editing tools for future awareness videos.
- What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:
- Understanding of the social cause, our mission and goals
- Development of an awareness video
Bonus steps would include:
- Revising the video based on feedback
- Recommending ideas and tools for future videos

In order to complete this project, students can self-teach, but it is beneficial to be familiar with:
- Video production
Again, students can complete this project without any of the prior knowledge listed here. Students will be expected to research and learn more about the above as the project goes along.
