What is the main goal for this project?

We would like students to help us with creating engaging, and dynamic content that is aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization and work with the student to plan TikToks/Reels that will be successful on our social media accounts.

Our company, Northland Properties, owns many different brands and you will be working on two or more of the following: Chop Steakhouse & Bar, Sandman Hotels, The Sutton Place Hotel, King Blue Hotel, Moxies, Denny's, Shark Club, or Bar One. We like to create content that is exciting and relevant, showcases our offering, and makes viewers want to see more. The variety will allow you to be creative and create content that is different in tone, visuals, and concept. Our working style is highly collaborative, open, supportive, and fun.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will:

  • Research new trends on social media
  • Visit restaurants and hotels and film content
  • Create videos that are 5-15 seconds
  • Evaluate content success on social and provide recommendations for subsequent projects with any learnings
How will you support learners in completing the project?

Students will receive project briefs and work closely with the primary project manager to discuss concepts, logistics, and deadlines. This point person will be supervising and available for questions. This will also include occasional progress meetings where adjustments to the students' tasks and duties can be made if necessary.

What skills or technologies will help learners to complete the project?

A student or team that is familiar with TikTok and Instagram is ideal. They should be comfortable using apps and programs to edit videos. They should also have a good eye for trends and visuals, and be a creative person.
