What is the main goal for this project?

What is the main goal of the project?

Help PetNation build a digital marketing plant that leads to 500+ pet owners in Ontario, Canada joining our waitlist. We would like to have students help us engage our target audience in a WOM and organic campaign online and in social media

We are excited to see students use their skills developed in the program to work with our senior leaders and into manage content development, the creation of visual and printed content and running / optimizing our website and social media (mainly FB unless they recommend otherwise)

What tasks will students need to complete to achieve the project goal?

  • With the help and guidance of Senior leadership research and develop a digital content plan to reach the target audience and take them on a customer journey including organic customer acquisition (retention and community building are optional for this project as time permits)
  • Review and improve current landing page to optimize conversions
  • Make recommendations, design and activate a successful FB page and awesome visual content
  • Enhance or build SM pages/website to incorporate proven analytics and tactics
  • Determine strategies and eye-catching content that will influence participation in Pet related groups and forums to achieve organic conversion (email waitlist signup)
  • Help us refine web copy to clearly articulate PetNation's value
  • Create content with input from senior leadership

Students must provide raw, editable files at the end of the project.

How will you support learners in completing the project?

We will:

  • Ensure a senior leader is available to review, collaborate, revise and provide timely guidance and feedback by video, phone & email.
  • Set up regular check-in sessions to provide feedback
  • Share the findings of our research as the starting point for business copy and content creation
  • Provide initial stock images consistent with our brand but want your creative input
  • Mentor students - Our founders are both educators, experienced business founders and university-level mentors
  • Be active participants and involved in your program activation plan
What skills or technologies will help learners to complete the project?
  • Knowledge and experience creating digital content on a budget that drive conversions (waitlist sign-up / survey taking) - we're looking for Ninja's that can review and modify our current page and deliver a simple, focused page.
  • Gorilla social media skills - We need disruptors who know how to use FB groups (and other recommended platforms ) organically, think outside the box, and work with us to efficiently increase our supporters and spread the news in the Greater Toronto Area. Our target for this project is the addition of 500 new subscribers to a waitlist.
  • Understanding and experience with organic and WOM marketing online through communities and how to create text, images and video to inspire action
  • Basic Photoshop / Video content creation - knowing what to use where and basic creation for test-and-learns during this project period. We will support messaging and content creation.

About the company

PetNation is a veterinarian health platform that includes a virtual platform and 24/7 physical centres and provides subscription-based full-service care to members. Our vision is to ensure pets get the care they need when they need it saving hundreds of thousands of animals' lives.

Working with a multidisciplinary team of students we are creating a unique online and in-clinic experience for PetParents. The project goals are to identify pricing options for our new services.

We are seeking creative students to assist us to identify potential PetParent customers, and enhancing our understanding of pricing drivers, concerns and sensitivity We have already done some very innovative work that we can share to demonstrate the value of our unique approach.
