interface design digital mapping data visualization user feedback user interface (ui) designThe Manitoba Foundations for the Arts seeks to develop a pilot tool for a cultural mapping tool that will help visualize and analyze the cultural assets within Manitoba. The goal is to create a user-friendly digital platform that allows users to explore various cultural elements such as historical sites, art installations, and community events. This project aims to bridge the gap between cultural data and public accessibility, providing a comprehensive view of Manitoba's rich cultural landscape. By leveraging classroom knowledge in digital mapping, data visualization, and user interface design, learners will contribute to a tool that enhances cultural awareness and engagement. The project will involve tasks such as data collection, interface design, and prototype testing, all of which are closely related and manageable within the given timeframe.
The project deliverables include a functional pilot of the cultural mapping tool, complete with an interactive map interface and basic data visualization features. Additionally, a report detailing the development process, user feedback, and recommendations for future improvements will be provided. The prototype should be intuitive, visually appealing, and capable of displaying cultural data effectively.
