  1. Compiling requirements of Website Customer toward sustainable self management
  2. Designing, Developing, and Delivering Website Iteration to Meet Customer Expectations
  3. Compiling customer defined metrics for evaluating Website Design
  4. Rating of Website, based on customer defined metrics for gap analyses
What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

Tasks:

  1. Gather customer SW requirements via customer needs mapping (CNM) process
  2. Validate CNM with customer
  3. Chart timeline for SW development process
  4. Integrate timeline with course deliverables
  5. Choose SW platform seeking customer concurrence of consequential value
  6. Compile lessons learned from prior development cycles to eliminate bugs in current cycle
  7. Validate customer QA testing system prior to choosing SW development platform
  8. Ensure development stage has "zero unacceptable" bugs prior to release to customer
  9. Design, Develop, & Deliver Website Model for Customer Evaluation
  10. Test for any residual bugs "outside of unacceptable bugs"
  11. Release for customer testing & approval
  12. Release prototype Website & conclude project success
  13. Present, and prepare project from "start to bug-free" functioning prototype
  14. Write report in parallel to each stage to align with conclusion of project
How will you support learners in completing the project?

Student "design and build" team engages with IP (Industry Partner) including "C" level executive @ sessions based on need.

  • Team and IP will decide:
  1. Frequency of meeting
  2. Length of meetings
  3. Effectiveness of meetings
  • Most importantly escalation protocol of any issues coming from either side on a proactive and a constructive basis.
  • Goal is to eliminate reduce wasteful meetings and focus on celebrating milestone completion and lessons learned.
  • Top contributing factor for project success is escalating collaboratively, resolve to success and operate harmoniously.

So, if team member isn't appreciative of inclusivity, collaboration, & constructive execution, they may not benefit from this project.

What skills or technologies will help learners to complete the project?

Technologies needed is based on student or instructor's proposal.

  1. Prototype Website SW design and build computational programming
  2. Excel - Database, Project Task, Time Tracking, Basic Analytical Tools of Hypothesis Testing)
  3. Powerpoint (or equivalent, e.g., Canvas)
  4. Google Suite (Sheet, Document, Presentations)
  5. Basic Tracking metrics on MS Excel as a Pre-Requisites

All tools and techniques expected will be supported by IP to engage student teams toward a value added journey.

About the company

As a business process improvement coach & consultant I worked with several corporations in different continents over 31 years. After a successful 6-year work experience at General Electric Corporation, I founded my company in 2000, and have been fortunate to successfully deliver in a variety of industries such as manufacturing, technology, transactional as well as service type environments. Having published scientific & technical articles, including authoring 5 US patents I released my book on Lean Six Sigma in 2011. I converse reasonably in Dutch, and Spanish, the skills of which I acquired during my consulting times. To date, the total annualized direct customer benefits have accrued to several hundreds of millions of dollars across the globe in more than 20 years. I enjoy outdoor activities, and meeting people. I am thankful to my mentor (s), past employers, and my professional network members without which most achievements would have been impossible.
