The current challenge involves efficiently transporting a 12 x 12 x 12 inch box weighing approximately 30 lbs. The goal of this project is to analyze and improve the shipping process to reduce costs and transit time while maintaining product integrity. Learners will apply their knowledge of logistics and supply chain management to identify bottlenecks, evaluate shipping options, and propose solutions. This project will provide a practical opportunity to apply classroom theories to real-world international shipping scenarios, focusing on optimizing routes, understanding customs regulations, and assessing carrier options.
The project deliverables will include a comprehensive report detailing the current shipping process and identified inefficiencies. Learners will provide a comparative analysis of different shipping methods and propose a cost-effective and time-efficient solution. Additionally, a presentation summarizing key findings and recommendations will be delivered to Yaw Prince Farms LLC. The deliverables will demonstrate the application of logistics principles and offer actionable insights for improving the supply chain.

About the company
Yaw Prince Farms was recently formed as a partnership with local farms located in the Volta Region of Ghana, Africa. The Volta Region has some of the richest soil in the world without the need of fertilizer. In a quickly changing world where the world "Organic" is becoming untrustworthy we grow strictly organic rice and beans with a brand you can trust. Our products will be marketed in specific independent stores in the Untied States. Other produce will be marketed to local to buyers in Ghana. Both areas in the states and Ghana proceeds go back to supporting both communities through our non-profit organization.
