There are 2 streams for our work. Both include younger generations ages 19-35. One focus will be on youth entrepreneurs directly and the other with younger employees at work. There are similar challenges faced by an employee and entrepreneurs and that is the gap we intend to fill.

We live in a time of great challenge and change. The recent pandemic has opened gaps in how we work, live, love, do business, treat each other and in how we care for the earth.

It’s not accurate to say that all youth aged 19-35 lack leadership and communication skills, but there are certain challenges that may arise in these areas due to factors such as experience levels, generational differences, and workplace expectations.

Your Big Venture wants to provide youth the soft skills, communication, selling, beliefs, mental wellness, community, empathy, relationship building, public speaking and of course the hard skills to be able to launch successful ventures moving forward.

Our “At Work” stream is more about soft skills and team building, plus communication skills, confidence, resiliency and sales skills.

Our immediate primary research is that youth lack the skills needed to lead, cope and succeed in the workplace. We are working on a “suite” of learning programs to deliver companies to engage, empower and encourage young people to lead.

To close, I want to quote an article in Forbes Magazine...that supports our work.

Younger professionals today are finding it harder to cope with life and work than their older counterparts, according to several recent studies.

Forbes magazine reports that an international study by Bain & Company also found that increasing numbers of Millennial and Gen-Z workers (61%) are stressed, overwhelmed and in danger of burnout at work, compared to 40% of those 35 and above. What are they most worried about? Finances, job security and failing to meet their career goals in the next 10 years were the top stressors.
