What is the main goal for this project? 


The main goal of this project is to adopt a new perspective that enables the San Diego Workforce Partnership (SDWP) to effectively reach and engage a younger demographic. This involves creating compelling content that not only highlights the programs, training opportunities, and career development resources offered by SDWP but also resonates with the interests and preferences of this target audience. By leveraging TikTok's unique platform capabilities and trends, the project aims to increase brand awareness, encourage participation in SDWP's initiatives, and integrate existing outreach efforts into a social media strategy that appeals directly to the younger generation.

Problem Statement:

The San Diego Workforce Partnership (SDWP) is seeking innovative ways to engage with young adults to inform them about career development opportunities, job training programs, and educational resources available in the San Diego area. Recognizing the immense potential of social media for outreach and engagement, SDWP is focusing on developing a comprehensive TikTok and outreach strategy to reach this key demographic.


Context: 

This project is crucial for our work as it aligns with our mission to empower job seekers by making them aware of the resources and opportunities available to them in a format they engage with daily. By reaching out to younger demographics through TikTok, we not only broaden our outreach but also inspire a new generation of job seekers to explore and participate in career development opportunities, thereby positively impacting their readiness and enthusiasm for the workforce.
