Details

This course aims to connect students your company to gain insights on the creation of an entrepreneurial venture as well as the development of an innovative, entrepreneurial and team approach to business. While students will gain an awareness of the experiences an entrepreneur will have in practice, you will benefit from eager minds that will be able to bring fresh perspectives to you and your business.

Students will also be expected to learn to define themselves as an artist while identifying a need in the community. This involves creating a marketable personal portfolio.

Deliverables
  • Provide a Powerpoint presentation encompassing their research and their findings on cultural community awareness
  • Adding e-content to their personal Electronic Press Kit (ie personal portfolio where they can feature their work)
Project Examples

As mentioned above, students will engage in all aspects of entrepreneurship (both at the company level and at the community level). Concretely, they will bring an entrepreneurial mindset, focused on invention and innovation. With this, they can focus on any of the following as we look at these areas in our course:

  • Students have reviewed and assessed current artists portfolios (ie marketability and branding)
  • Developing cultural and community awareness
  • Identify key partners and resources in developing an entrepreneurial opportunity
  • Primary and secondary research
Additional company criteria

Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

Company should be available for a short orientation to the project.

Be available for a quick phone call with the instructor to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the course.

Provide a dedicated contact who is available to answer periodic emails or phone calls over the duration of the project to address students' questions.
