What is the main goal for this project?

KAT Innovation is currently looking for government funding and grants to finance its research and operational expenses.

The main goal of the internship will therefore be to find financing for the company.

By the end of the project, the student will be able to research government financing in the Quebec province, to fill out the applications and will have experience with grant management and follow up.


What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

KAT Innovation is looking for an intern who will :

1. Research government financing program that can be applicable to its sector and current development stage,

2. Analyze the financing program to fit with the company's needs and timelines,

3. Present and report these programs to the Director's team,

4. Apply to the best financing programs and,

5. Take care of the follow up,

6. Search for private investors and investment funds.

How will you support learners in completing the project?

The intern will be accompanied by the CEO of the company as well as consultants involved in the project; if needed.


What skills or technologies will help learners to complete the project?

Bachelor's degree or university certificate in business administration. Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken; Proficiency in the Office suite (especially Excel); Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks; Problem solving skills; Thoroughness, adaptability and ability to work in a team; Ability to act in a professional manner at all times.
