What is the main goal for this project?

The primary focus for the student will be:

Your core project will be focused on Product Adoption and/or Behavour Change. Supporting Managers with business documentation to drive awareness and adoption.


  1. Gain Practical Experience: One of the primary goals is to gain hands-on experience in a real business environment. This includes understanding how various business functions operate, applying academic knowledge to real-world situations, and developing practical skills.
  2. Build Professional Skills: Summer business positions offer opportunities to develop and enhance a wide range of professional skills. This may include communication skills, teamwork, problem-solving, time management, and adaptability.
  3. Learn Industry-specific Knowledge: Depending on the industry, students may have the objective of gaining a deeper understanding of specific business operations, trends, and challenges. This industry-specific knowledge can be beneficial for future career pursuits.
  4. Contribute to Projects and Initiatives: Students often aim to actively contribute to the projects and initiatives of the organization. This includes taking on responsibilities, completing tasks, and delivering tangible results. Demonstrating initiative and a proactive attitude can leave a positive impression.
  5. Receive Feedback and Learn from Mentors: Seeking feedback from supervisors and mentors is essential for personal and professional growth. What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

Our goal at the end of this experience is: (Indicate deliverables)

  • Assist in maintaining and updating databases, spreadsheets, and other records as needed 
  • Conduct research and analyze data to support business decision-making 
  • Assist in creating and preparing reports, presentations, and other business documents 
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating meetings, events, and other business activities 
  • Provide general administrative support to managers and staff as needed 
  • Assist in managing various projects and initiatives as assigned 
  • Support the development and implementation of new business strategies and initiatives 
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential business opportunities

How will you support learners in completing the project?

Students will work closely with the primary project manager who is supervising and available for questions. This will also include occasional progress meetings where adjustments to the students' tasks and duties can be made if necessary.

We will plan to communicate with our virtual intern using these communication tools: (list expected channels - eg. Riipen messaging, company slack, email)
