Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

Our company advertises our programs and services online. We hope to update and revamp our existing website to attract more customers and make it easier to sign up for programs.

We would like to work with students to develop a new website that is easy to maintain while providing an appealing interface for users. This can be achieved through common site building tools such as Wix, Webflow, and WordPress.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

  • Researching different site-building tools and their associated advantages / disadvantages.
  • Conducting a needs analysis to determine which platform is most suitable.
  • Building a website with forms, with our assistance in providing the content.
  • Providing training on updating and maintaining the website.

Bonus steps in the process would also include:

  • Test prototypes with customers and provide feedback.
What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

  • Understanding of website platform options
  • Identification of the most suitable platform
  • Development of a website using the most suitable tool
  • Recommendations for website maintenance

Bonus steps would include:

  • Testing the website with users and making improvements based on user input

Final deliverables should include

  • A website prototype.
  • A final report.
How will you support learners in completing the project?

Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

  • Our current products and website design
  • Our customer and industry insights
  • Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.
About the company

At Wild Woods Learning, we believe in nature's transformative power to inspire, educate, and connect. Nestled on the banks of the St.Lawrence River, our 100-year-old family farm provides the perfect backdrop for immersive outdoor experiences.
Our programs offer hands-on learning opportunities that allow participants to explore local habitats, discover native flora and fauna, and forage meaningful relationships with the land. In addition to our on-site programs, we also provide a range of agricultural-based learning supplies and guides to support fellow educators. We have recently started creating nature-inspired print products to support educators and teachers in incorporating outdoor learning into their classrooms.
