Details

We are looking for a talented and experienced eBook designer to help bring a beautiful collection of African-themed culinary eBooks to life. These eBooks — written with care and creativity — explore the richness of African food culture across snacks, drinks, desserts, breakfasts, dinners, and pantry essentials.

This is a design-forward project for someone who can balance visual creativity with clear structure and user-friendly layouts.

Deliverables

What We Looking For

You are:

  • Experienced in designing professional, cohesive eBooks (bonus if you’ve done food or lifestyle content before)
  • Creative, with an eye for typography, layout, and color — especially able to reflect joyful, warm, and culturally rich tones
  • Independent, able to follow direction but also take initiative and propose ideas
  • Detail-oriented, with a sense of flow, spacing, and formatting consistency
  • Able to work with Canva, InDesign, or another professional layout tool

The Project

You’ll be designing a series of eBooks (around 8-10 total) with consistent branding, each focusing on a different theme such as:

  • African Breakfasts
  • African Dinners
  • African Snacks
  • African Drinks
  • African Desserts
  • The African Pantry
  • Superfoods in African Cuisine
  • Donuts and Holiday Treats

Each eBook has been written with structure and clear recipe formatting, and I’ll provide:

  • Brand guidelines
  • Logos and colors
  • Sample imagery (or direction for image sourcing)
  • Final text content

Scope of Work

  • Design and layout of ~30–60 pages per eBook
  • Cover design for each eBook
  • Creative use of images, icons, and color palettes that match the Dunu Eat brand (playful, elegant, vibrant)
  • Formatting for PDF (print-ready and screen-optimized)
  • Optional: Light image editing or sourcing (if you can bring that magic touch!)

To Apply

Please share:

  • Your portfolio, especially any eBook or cookbook design work
  • Your typical turnaround time
  • Tools you use
  • A short note about why this project excites you

I’m looking to build a long-term collaboration as I plan to expand into print materials, digital products, and more cultural storytelling through design. Let’s create something meaningful and beautiful together!
