What is the main goal for this project?

Frontier was founded in 2014 with a three-pronged business strategy to use collaborations, media, and products in the service of a new design discipline we call "Purpose Design" and ultimately purpose-driven performance for our clients, individuals, and the world.

The collaborations arm of our business has enjoyed the most success and now 80% of our revenue comes from our work with clients.

We are now turning our attention to our Media work, picking back up our cadence in the production and output of content, however we know we need to do more in order to grow our audience base. Producing great content is just not enough to attract the audiences we need to be sustainable in this area of our business. This is where we need help. We need to develop a marketing plan to raise awareness and build an audience for our media offerings.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

The final project deliverable is at minimum a marketing plan including research, analysis, and recommendations. Beyond building awareness and devising an advertising plan, the marketing plan could also make recommendations for revenue generation strategies (for example subscriptions, advertising, or other). The ultimate project goal is to execute on the marketing plan and make the Media arm of our business profitable in a permanent and sustainable way.

How will you support learners in completing the project?

Students will work closely with the CEO of Frontier who is supervising this project and available for questions. We would also expect regular progress meetings to review work done to date, opportunities, and to adjust the students' tasks and duties as needed.

What skills or technologies will help learners to complete the project?

The project may include, but is not limited to:

  • Evaluating the market appeal for our media/content.
  • Evaluating best channels for promotion of our media/content.
  • Evaluating costs/investments required to attain sufficient exposure to achieve conversions and increase our audience base.
  • Outreach to secure media buys.
  • Analysis of revenue generation models (optional).
About the company
