What is the main goal for this project?

We are looking to get our social media presence launched in order to drive traffic to our pages. To do this, we hope to improve our search engine optimization, and create an optimal schedule for our social media posts to be uploaded.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

  • Researching keywords to determine the most relevant terms that our customers and their members search for.
  • Researching Search Engine Optimization requirements for us to rank on the first page of Google.
  • Create detailed buyer personas for B2C and B2B segments to guide targeted marketing efforts.
  • Constructing a content calendar to upload social media content for the maximum possible traffic .
  • Create content for social media platforms, considering the unique tone and preferences of each demographic and region, using the most efficient keywords for our target audience while following the content calendar.
  • Implement tracking mechanisms to monitor the performance of marketing campaigns and iterate strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the design team to produce visually appealing graphics, videos, and other multimedia assets.
  • Analyze data and metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and generate actionable insights for optimization.
What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities (this is basically a retelling of the steps above):

  • Compiled a list of the most relevant SEO keywords for us.
  • Created a content calendar to drive traffic to our social media pages.
  • Prepared a report outlining the SEO keywords and the social media calendar to be reviewed by the project manager.
  • Created engaging social media posts using the most efficient SEO keywords..

Bonus steps would include:

  • Tailoring the content calendar to our customers' / members activity levels on different times and days.

Final deliverables should include

  • A report containing the most relevant SEO keywords for our company and a content calendar.
  • Designs and writing for several social media posts to be uploaded as per the content calendar.
How will you support learners in completing the project?

Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

  • What SEO keywords are being used by our company now, and which keywords have been used in the past?
  • How do we rank on Google based on different search terms?
  • When and how much do we typically post on social media?
  • Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.
  • Access to proprietary data and insights within the fintech loyalty program industry.
  • Guidance from experienced professionals within our marketing department, including regular check-ins and feedback sessions.
  • Provision of necessary tools and resources, such as marketing automation software, analytics platforms, and design software.


What skills or technologies will help learners to complete the project?

In order to complete this project, students can self-teach, but it is beneficial to be familiar with:


  1. Proficiency in market research methodologies and tools (e.g., surveys, focus groups, data analysis software).
  2. Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media advertising.
  3. Ability to create engaging content across various formats (text, graphics, videos) tailored to different social media platforms.
  4. Familiarity with analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, social media analytics tools) to track and measure campaign performance.
  5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team and engage with stakeholders.
  6. Adaptability to navigate diverse demographics and cultural nuances in marketing strategies.
  7. Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in the fintech industry, such as blockchain, AI, and personalization algorithms.


Again, students can complete this project without any of the prior knowledge listed here. Students will be expected to research and learn more about this above as the project goes along.
