Developed in partnership with business leaders, Davenport University’s marketing program meets the dynamic needs of the marketing industry. Our content provides students with necessary theory and strategy concepts, while also providing the hands-on tactical skills necessary to succeed in today’s marketplace. Students can specialize in digital marketing and advertising, technology marketing, or value-chain. Students will be able to manage information using digital technologies and develop strategies that leverage and integrate information into marketing plans.
Virtual Internship - Sport Management Experience (Spring / Summer)

Sport Management Major students gain skills in business fundamentals and specific sport management disciplines in a learning environment that balances textbook theory with real-world business application. Students are exposed to the legal, regulatory, marketing and operational aspects of sports venue, program and team management. Students (individuals or teams) can help with: Planning : Define your organization’s long term and short term strategic plans and organizational goals. Organization and Administration : Establish a structure to your organization, its employees/players/fans and create a productive environment. Leading : Motivate and train employees as well as assign responsibilities and delegate authority. Problem Solving: Maintain an ethical work environment, developing approaches to problem-solving. Controlling : Evaluate employee, process, team and/or player performance and the progress to the strategic plan, including finances, and make corrections if necessary.

Our curriculum integrates international perspectives in finance, business law, strategic management, marketing, and human resource management to prepare students for the global business environment. Students have the edge in interacting effectively in both foreign and domestic markets and a solid base to be able to perform managerial responsibilities with confidence. Students (individuals or teams) can help with: Planning : Define your organization’s long term and short term strategic plans and organizational goals. Organization and Administration : Establish structure to your global business and its employees and create a productive work environment.
