This experience focuses on equipping learners with the skills to create impactful public-facing messages that emphasize the importance of effective communication within families during challenging health transitions, such as post-partum depression, breast and/or prostate cancer, invisible disability, infertility, Alzheimer's disease, and end of life transition. Learners will apply their understanding of communication strategies to develop materials that can educate and support families in maintaining strong connections and resilience. By leveraging empirical research, learners will craft messages that highlight the effects of challenging health transitions on family dynamics and offer practical communication techniques to enhance well-being.

Communication Strategies for Enhancing Productivity Within Small Groups and Organizations The primary objective of this project is to equip students with the understanding required to create content for practical training and learning modules focused on interpersonal communication strategies that enhance productivity, foster better collaboration, and promote success in small groups and organizations.

My learners are juniors and seniors at a nationally recognized four year residential liberal arts college located in the Midwest. Most of the learners are Business Administration majors, and all have an interest in Marketing (the course is an upper level Marketing course). They are curious and creative, and they are motivated to apply their skills to interesting and meaningful projects, large and small. The course enrollment is this upper level marketing course is 6 students, which provides some flexibility in assigning students to employers/projects, including hours assigned.

Learners will work on one main project over the experience of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. In this course, learners delve deep into the specifics of the three common classifications of materials: Ceramics, Metals, and Polymers. Learners will focus on the industrial perspective, emphasizing production and the final properties of materials. They will explore practical measurements, including mechanical, thermal, optical, magnetic, and electrical properties. Our learners are eager to apply their knowledge and skills to address real-world challenges. They bring a fresh perspective and a wealth of potential to your business.
