Welcome business owners! Coe College invites you to collaborate with our learnersĀ in a project-based experience. Learners will work on one main project over the experience of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. In this course, learners delve deep into the specifics of the three common classifications of materials: Ceramics, Metals, and Polymers. Learners will focus on the industrial perspective, emphasizing production and the final properties of materials. They will explore practical measurements, including mechanical, thermal, optical, magnetic, and electrical properties. Our learners are eager to apply their knowledge and skills to address real-world challenges. They bring a fresh perspective and a wealth of potential to your business. With a strong foundation in materials science, they are ready to collaborate with you.

Most of the learners are Business Administration majors, and all have an interest in Marketing (the course is an upper level Marketing course). They are curious and creative, and they are motivated to apply their skills to interesting and meaningful projects, large and small. The course enrollment is this upper level marketing course is 6 students, which provides some flexibility in assigning students to employers/projects, including hours assigned.
