Sports Archive/Research Assistant
Our organization is looking for 1 student to help us achieve our goals.Project ScopeTo create and maintain accessible, retrievable computer statistical archives and databases for Fanshawe Falcons sports.Primary Focus- Maintain statistics, rosters, schedules, results, historical records, archives and student-athlete/coaches bios- Research records maintained in other sport conferences- Create relevant sport specific records for team sports- Review archived statistics to ensure accuracy and edit as necessaryRequirements: Needs to have an excellent attention to detail and concentration skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel, understanding of multiple sport statistics and percentagesOur goal at the end of this experience?To gather accurate historical data that can be used by our programming officers to elevate information about our athletes and varsity programs.
Strategic Marketing Planner - Varsity Program
Our organization is looking for 1-2 students to work together to achieve our goals.Project ScopeTo develop a Strategic Marketing Plan for the Athletics Department at Fanshawe College, specifically the varsity program.Primary Focus-Conduct an audit of our current social media presence and marketing strategy.-Research successful marketing and social media plans for varsity programs across North America-Recommend changes to advertising and promotional materials-Create a marketing plan for the year specifically directed to athletes and fans for each of our social media outlets (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, on campus digital signage)-Develop and implement strategies for improving our online presence and increasing engagement-Create pre-planned content for social media, following college brand guidelinesOur goal at the end of this experience?To improve our online presence, reach more customers and effectively promote the varsity programs and events that we have on campus through compelling content.

Our organization is looking for a team of 3 students to work together to achieve our goals.Project ScopeTo develop a Strategic Marketing Plan for the Recreation Department at Fanshawe College.Primary Focus-Conduct an audit of our current social media presence and marketing strategy-Recommend changes to advertising and PR materials; create an integrated marketing campaign-Develop and implement strategies for improving our online presence and increasing engagement-Create a content calendar and useable social media templates.Our goal at the end of this experience?To have a comprehensive Marketing Strategic Plan with a calendar of dates for execution and some graphic templates to assist in our efforts. To improve our online presence, reach more customers and effectively promote the programs we have on campus through compelling content.
Varsity Sports Team Trainer & Manager
Our organization wants to further our efforts to prevent and care for sports injuries. We would like to work with students to develop a solid learning path, strategy for injury prevention and methods of care for injuries within the Varsity sports population. This project will also include reporting procedures, emergency protocols, inventory of supplies to compliment the project. There will be a collaboration with key contacts at our organization to enhance the project. Students will develop a comprehensive guide to ensure all aspects of injury prevention and care are covered for the varsity sports population during a variety of sports seasons. Further to this, our organization wants to enhance and further our efforts to support a varsity sports team with daily equipment and uniform needs to include pre-game and post game procedures. Gain an understanding of how to care for sports injuries (Short and long term)Enhance proper reporting protocols of a variety of injury levels. Identify needs and supplies to support this project.Shadow and some hands on learning from Physio Therapists at a sports injury clinic. Develop a guide to prevention and care for sports injuriesResourcesProvide sport injury general medical supplies.
