Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

Our organization wants to further our efforts to prevent and care for sports injuries. We would like to work with students to develop a solid learning path, strategy for injury prevention and methods of care for injuries within the Varsity sports population. This project will also include reporting procedures, emergency protocols, inventory of supplies to compliment the project. There will be a collaboration with key contacts at our organization to enhance the project. Students will develop a comprehensive guide to ensure all aspects of injury prevention and care are covered for the varsity sports population during a variety of sports seasons. Further to this, our organization wants to enhance and further our efforts to support a varsity sports team with daily equipment and uniform needs to include pre-game and post game procedures.

Gain an understanding of how to care for sports injuries (Short and long term)

Enhance proper reporting protocols of a variety of injury levels.

Identify needs and supplies to support this project.

Shadow and some hands on learning from Physio Therapists at a sports injury clinic.

Develop a guide to prevention and care for sports injuries

Resources

Provide sport injury general medical supplies.
