Our company is in the middle of developing an entire music platform. We are looking for a team to work on the designing of the website. We have a solid development team with some great experienced developers but they need the assistance of some website designers to connect with and ensure the project flows well. We are always on the lookout for innovative and fresh UI and UX ideas that will help our users.This will involve: Conducting background research on our existing web application for the product. We are happy to provide a walkthrough and other resources to help bring them up to speed.Identifying key areas of our current website development and what areas of focused might return the best results in the design outcome.Learning and using various software design tools. We strongly recommend students learn how to use Figma as this is the main tool we currently use in the project.Creation of a screen by screen UX / UI prototype of a web application which can be used on all major browsers and be mobile friendlyConducting UX / UI testing with real potential users potentially involving paper prototypes or other software tools to support this
May 2024 - Task Manager AI Section 1 - Website Development
Our company connects fans to artists, artists to venues and all of them to vendors. We are building an entire music community and need this to be one of many parts of a whole page and community site. Part of the goal is to create an all encompassing site. This project is one section of the AI pieces that we need for this site. We will be working with students to develop an AI section that can act like an artist manager and advertising manager for musical artists. This will involve several different steps for students, including:Researching different methods of scraping data for how to solve artists needsUnderstanding all the issues that new artists face as they begin their journey into the music industryHelp the artists learn several sections of what they need to know to become successfulImplement ways for artists to accomplish these tasks even while they have limited knowledge or experienceCreate an AI that is part teacher, part manager, part advertising expert. We are looking for students to play a role as the student team’s project manager. A student in this position will understand the logistical aspects of the a Team Project Manager position. This position is very key in our group and must be looked at seriously by all members that apply, We are willing to look at an entire team and would prefer at least 2-3 members to spread out the duties more easily, as we do have a project development that literally runs 24/7. Students in this position will overlook the team’s project through a logistical lensStudents will help facilitate the team events, meetings and individual projects.The student will play a key role in helping the CEO create a more efficient work process.The student should be able to create the following itemsProject Overview The student needs to connect with the CEO and Team leads to get an overview of the entire project from each member's perspective and using all the information given write a detailed overview that looks at the project from a global perspectiveProject Schedule The student needs to connect will all members of the various teams to understand where each section of the project is in regards to completion and issues. Our organization is interested in addressing the serious lack of support for the new and upcomming musical artists in the music industry. One thing we are looking at doing is running an event over the Easter Long weekend in Vancouver BC. We are going to be supporting new musicians and building an event to push Vancouver closer to a Music City. One thing that comes with large event planning is always the need for funding from multiple sources. We would like to collaborate with students to find and complete grant applications.This will involve several different steps for the students, including:Familiarizing themselves with our vision statement and a project we have defined.Developing a needs statement that characterizes the community problem and justifies the need for our project and funding.Identifying potential sponsors and funding opportunities that are a good fit for our organization and project.Improving the clarity and persuasiveness of our company's grant proposal writing.Bonus steps in the process would also include:Identifying new opportunities for community projects.

May2024 - 256bit E2E Blockchain Chat Function Resource and Design ("SESSION" APP)
We are a music platform that connects fans, venues, and vendors. We need a 100% and preferably based on blockchain 256bit E2E encrypted chat model that can have groups, individuals and also prevents even the host from watching the chat we are also looking for a way to ensure that your IP can be hidden like session chat does. We expect that it will be based on the chat model session as that is currently the only chat that implements all these facets but they do not at present have an api. The idea of building our own api or following their lead is completely fine. The requirements stay the same privacy is a key pillar of our value system and complete and total chat privacy for the owner of the chat is necessary. You and your team will need to do the research first and foremost taking into consideration the previous research done by other members and provide a very detailed overview of the plan ahead for the progression of this section of our platform. As this is such a key of our platform the research and development section of this is just as important as the development. It WILL include delving into the crypto and block chain basis of session chat seeing how they accomplish the task (as they are 100% open source) and finding how we could implement their tech or how we should develop our own so we can have as secure or MORE secure communication for our users. This should be noted as PRIMARILY A RESEARCH BASED PROJECT... If there is time AFTER the RESEARCH students will begin development on the chat backend coding that will follow the paperwork documentation that will need to be extremely detailed and clear in all sections. Documentation is ESSENTIAL and a primary need of this project. It MUST be completed in advance and during the research no matter what negative or positive end results are found they must ALL be documented so we can understand the limitations and impossibilities encountered with this project. May2024 - MUSIC 420 - 2025 - Community Event Planning and Execution
Our organization is passionate about promoting aritists (musical artists of course) while at the same time creating great social, economic and personal relationships with venues, vendors, fans and the cities, towns and communities we are part of. One issue we came across recently has emboldened us to make a positive change around a well known event in Vancouver BC Canada. For 30 years there has been a "Cannabis Awareness and Protest" on the streets and in the parks of Vancouver BC on April 20th. Every year this event has brought together about 200,000 people in support of this cause; the group is not shrinking, it is growing, and the issue in turn is also growing. This event has never been sanctioned by the city and has created tensions and problems for the city, their constituents, and venues all throughout Vancouver. Every time the city takes steps to minimize the event the following year the protesters take larger and more impactful steps that cause more issues. Our Goal is to change this "issue" and problem and take the fact that 200,000 people come out to support it and give both the city and the protesters a better platform to connect. We are creating a 50+ venue event to be staged over 3 days of music celebration with interludes of speaking to increase awareness about the cannabis cause. The key is that 100% of our events will be properly permitted, patrolled, and organized so that all those involved are safe and follow the law, this way giving a great platform for both the city of Vancouver to be happy with as well as those that wish to make their voices heard on this particular topic.We will work with students to design a weekend long event that raises awareness and encourages changes in attitudes / behaviours. While at the same time follows all the needs and requirements of the City of Vancouver and their constituents. In collaboration with key contacts at our organization, students will design and carry out the event planning and advertising campaign strategy around MUSIC 420.This will involve several different steps for the students, including:Familiarizing themselves with the social cause, our mission and goals.Familiarizing themselves with the both sides of the situation including all the needs and requirements of the City of Vancouver, the Parks board of Vancouver, and The Special Events board of Vancouver and all of their missions and goals.Identifying groups that the campaign will target.Identifying ideal outcomes and key performance indicators (KPIs).Identifying potential sponsors and partners who can support our campaign.Creating a promotion and marketing plan.Bonus steps in the process would also include:Assisting in the development of leaflets, posters, videos, and / or brochures.Making direct connections with all levels of government and seeing what barriers community engagement projects like this run into every time
