- What is the main goal for this project?

Our organization is interested in addressing the serious lack of support for the new and upcomming musical artists in the music industry. One thing we are looking at doing is running an event over the Easter Long weekend in Vancouver BC. We are going to be supporting new musicians and building an event to push Vancouver closer to a Music City.
One thing that comes with large event planning is always the need for funding from multiple sources.
We would like to collaborate with students to find and complete grant applications.
This will involve several different steps for the students, including:
- Familiarizing themselves with our vision statement and a project we have defined.
- Developing a needs statement that characterizes the community problem and justifies the need for our project and funding.
- Identifying potential sponsors and funding opportunities that are a good fit for our organization and project.
- Improving the clarity and persuasiveness of our company's grant proposal writing.
Bonus steps in the process would also include:
- Identifying new opportunities for community projects.
- What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:
- Understanding of our organization’s values and purpose
- Understanding of the community project
- Identification of potential sponsors and funding sources
- Recommendations for improving our grant proposals
Bonus steps would include:
- Defining new community projects with appropriate scopes

- A 10-minute video, and interactive presentation, preferably on a platform similar to Figma..

Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:
- Our mission and vision statement
- Our community projects and previous grant applications
- Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.
- Our current community and website design
- Our customer and industry insights
With a reasonable understanding of computers and tech and a rich background in the music industry we can lead students in how to combine their skills to create the best applications possible
We connect with them directly and answer questions on a day to day basis and have video connection at least once a week.
