The work was very open ended as in when I came in there it didn't feel like there was much direction as to what I was supposed to do. After talking to the CEO about what he specifically wanted it was easier to get working on something that would help him create his platform. He didn't have very much experience in my field so it definitely felt like it was up to me(and my teammates) to find ways to solve the problems that we needed to do.

I enjoyed my time working with the YourBeat team, it was a great experience, and I believe I learned quite alot for my first development gig. The biggest positive I feel about working with YourBeat is how free I feel with the scheduling. The only minor constructive feedback I'd have is to have some clearer and more structured onboarding for future new hires.

Interesting opportunity to work on a unique project where you'll learn work independently, work with people on your team and with people within the company but from different teams. Expect to do a lot of research on your own, organize your own tasks and brainstorm approaches to feature development.

A lot of prep has gone into this project, and there is a very clear vision as to the direction. CR also puts a lot of focus on establishing good professional habits, which I think is very beneficial. He is also very communicative and easy to reach. I was able to research, work on and improve an existing codebase and also flex some project management and organizational skills.

I really enjoyed working on this project. It was a very interesting project right from the beginning, offering lots of new challenges and great learning experiences. YourBeat is an interesting project. At first it sounded like a challenge to me because of how big the project is. Having the CEO hold conversations and knowing the requirements helped internalize what needs to be done and doing same. CR is a great leader who communicates well with developers and also ensure we have all we need to get the job done. It was an amazing learning opportunity for me.
