Digital Marketer

The Digital Marketing intern will be engaged in increasing traffic to the Aisha Comfortable Coliving website and social media platforms. This will include content creation, business automation as well as search engine optimization. The intern will also be involved in running advertisements / digital marketing campaigns and analyzing results to ensure the most effective techniques are being carried out.

Trillagy, is focused on the design of innovative and disruptive products and private-label E-commerce sales. We have several lines of products in different stages of sales and development, including prototype launch stage. Part of our goal this year is to build a stronger digital marketing presence for each of our product lines, on various channels such as, but not exclusively, Linkedin, IG and Facebook. We want you to assist us in updating our branding in a way that clearly differentiates us from our competitors and serves our target Millennial market.For this project, you will need to:Understand our brand and mission.Conduct research on our users, stakeholders, and competitors.Analyze our competitive landscape.

Awareness Contest Design

Our organization is passionate about promoting social causes. We ​​want to increase awareness about a particular topic.We would like to work with students to design an awareness contest where contestants promote our cause and win rewards along the way.This will involve several different steps for the students, including:Familiarizing themselves with our organization’s goals and campaigns.Designing the contest structure and assessment criteria.Creating materials to promote the contest.Running the contest online and collecting submissions.Bonus steps in the process would also include:Assisting in assessing submissions and selecting winners.Recommending ideas for future awareness campaigns.

Diversity & Inclusion Strategy

Our company has dozens of volunteers with diverse backgrounds and experiences. We want to create an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued.We would like to collaborate with students to create a diversity and inclusion strategy.This will involve several different steps for the students, including:Identifying areas for improvement based on our diversity audit data.Defining diversity goals and objectives for our company.Considering new diversity and inclusion training initiatives.Recommending ways to communicate diversity and inclusion initiatives to employees.Bonus steps in the process would also include:Recommending a timeline for evaluating our diversity and inclusion strategy.

Accessibility Testing

The main problem we are trying to solve is to garner more user feedback on our interface’s accessibility.We would like to collaborate with students to conduct accessibility tests on our website with pre-identified customers.This will involve several different steps for the students, including:Conducting background research on disabilities and methods of evaluating accessibility.Reaching out to customers and scheduling interviews.Familiarizing themselves with the test tasks that should be administered.Conducting accessibility tests remotely and following up with customers to thank them for their participation.Analyzing and reporting the metrics / results of the tests.Bonus steps in the process would also include:Recommending website improvements based on findings.

Security & Penetration Testing of Web Application

A standard practice for web based tools is to conduct what is known as penetration tests at least once a year. This is a white-hat hacking approach in which a firm is given special permission to try and break into, exploit, or otherwise attempt to break a given product via security vulnerabilities.First, we would like students to get familiar with our product. Sign up, play around with it, understand generally how it works. Second, students should spend time conducting research on state of the art pen testing technologies. They should look into common vulnerability lists such as OWASP Top 10, and common security tools such as Nmap, Burp Suitar, Nessus, and Wireshark.Third, students should have a written attack plan and present it to us so we can confirm we understand what the test will do and what might be uncovered.Fourth, students are free to attack our product as per the presented plan

Grant Writing

Our organization is interested in addressing societal issues and supporting social causes. However, we are currently facing funding challenges.We would like to collaborate with students to find and complete grant applications.This will involve several different steps for the students, including:Familiarizing themselves with our vision statement and a project we have defined.Developing a needs statement that characterizes the community problem and justifies the need for our project and funding.Identifying potential sponsors and funding opportunities that are a good fit for our organization and project.Improving the clarity and persuasiveness of our company's grant proposal writing.Bonus steps in the process would also include:Identifying new opportunities for community projects.

New Product Marketing

We would like to revamp our marketing as we have recently developed a new product.Together with our marketing team, we would like students to design new promotional material for this new product. Based on our insights and additional research, students will develop promotional marketing materials for our existing media and make recommendations on alternative media to consider.This will involve several different steps for the students, including:Familiarizing themselves with our target market, products and services.Assessing our existing marketing strategy and efforts.Recommending marketing tactics to promote our new product such as exclusive previews and introductory offers.Designing promotional material for various media.Making multiple versions of marketing materials and testing them for comparison.

Customer Journey Mapping

The main problem we are trying to solve is to improve our understanding of user experiences. We would like to understand our strengths and areas of improvement from a customer perspective.This will involve several different steps for the students, including:Conducting background research on customer journey mapping, our products and customers.Analyzing customer responses from surveys and interviews.Defining the phases and touchpoints of the purchasing process.Incorporating user actions, emotions, goals, and pain points in the customer journey map.Proposing solutions to minimize pain points while meeting business goals.Bonus steps in the process would also include:Developing multiple customer journey maps to account for different experiences and paths.

Blogging

We want to create a blog to strengthen our marketing.We would like to collaborate with students to create blog posts that drive more traffic to our website.This will involve several different steps for the students, including:Familiarizing themselves with our goals, target market, products and services.Recommending topics for our blog posts.Drafting blog posts relevant to our business.Revising blog posts based on feedback.Bonus steps in the process would also include:Recommending ways to market our blog.
