CultureBanked MVP: UX Design 'Personal Museum'
Positions available: 2 Overview Of CultureBanked CultureBanked as an idea stems from an interrelated set of values and learning about how we, as individuals and groups, own, manage and value the content that we create and ‘share’ online. Our aim is to build an ‘Action Lab’ of cooperating peers and others who can drive the project forwards along with its goals of using creative rights to ‘hold collective value’ and to ‘manage it in new ways which empower people within systems’. www.culturebanked.org CultureBanked as a service aims to manifest the values behind the idea. We are building a Community Rights Management service for artists, galleries, museums, collections, audiences and all associated in the Kendraio data browser. The service includes asset and rights management, sales and tax reporting functions and services to increase interoperability for users according to their changing needs. Kendraio Framework Kendraio App is a low-code app environment that lends itself to rapid application development. Kendraio was created to service the creative/music industry to enable easy asset and rights management both locally and on third-party platforms. But what we've ended up creating is a generic data browser that plugs into remote APIs and enables highly configurable interfaces to be built. And we'll use this framework as the basis of this project. Do you have a background or interest in user experience design or user interface design? You’ll be working with artists and rights owners on the concept of Community Rights Management to build out the features and benefits they identify as most necessary in the Kendraio App. We’d love to see what you would do with the CultureBanked Community Rights Management Database: https://app.kendra.io/ . We believe this project will require: Identifying, contacting and conducting interviews with potential users. Researching, understanding and possibly redefining Community Rights Management Consulting with developers and researching potential uses of API’s ‘Dev Ops’ for would be developers to demonstrate their skills on a live project. Project Management The final deliverables include: A report on the findings from interviewing users and potential users Live, working data sets and models with new functions as identified and/or; Any other visualisation of your proposals for developing a rights management interface. Your challenge submission can be an interactive mockup, flat wireframes, a functional website, a photoshop file or a live demo in our App. - whatever gets your vision across. It is expected that the 'Personal Museum' team will work closely with other teams. Please feel free to be as creative as you like, but submissions must take into consideration the fundamental needs of potential users.

This will enable you to use your skills in business development and fundraising to identify future workflows and to prioritize areas of work in order of needs and requirements. We believe this project will require: Liaising with others working in the project to identify next steps overall Building a project outline which can go forwards to seek future funds Researching multi-sectoral needs and key areas for future development The final deliverables include: Project outline or Business Plan using a Business Model Canvas or other suitable model A Fundraising Plan and at least one live funding application or crowdfunding campaign The key attributes you will need to be successful in Fundraising and Business Development are communication (an ability to listen and observe what the main needs and requirements of our users and developers) strategic awareness (being able to target those needs and requirements to potential partners, funders, users and other possible stakeholders) and finally, you will be able to put all of these things together in intelligent, well explained, eye catching ways to build interest and support for the project. As you create this project your feedback will influence the direction and capabilities of the Kendraio framework CultureBanked MVP: Digital Tax Payment Gateway You will be challenged to survey functions in other applications managing either rights and/or accounts/revenue and to envisage and design a basic MVP which will perform the basic functions of splitting and directing values (rights/revenues) towards tax funds (eg HMRC), community funds (eg, crowd funding accounts) or others (eg any shared purpose where beneficiaries can be identified). Role Requirements You will be building CultureBanked with the Kendraio framework (see below). Being able to work in a team is a must. Attention to detail is a must. You must know how to program with JavaScript/TypeScript and manipulate JSON. Some experience of Angular (version 9 and above) would be useful. An understanding of REST and GraphQL APIs is a must. You will need to have a little experience with Git code repository methodology. We use GitHub for our code. We will use Google Drive Docs and Sheets extensively. When you come to the interview make sure you have already signed up to Linear , GitHub , Google , LastPass , Hasura , Zoom , using your own Gmail/email address. You will need to tell us what this is. We will sign you up to our Slack channel. We believe this project will require: Consulting with researchers on tax accounting and payment processes Consulting with other developers and researching potential uses of API’s Developing a functioning prototype. To demonstrate the concept behind CultureBanked, we want to create a video production team to take our key concepts, features and benefits and to create a ‘visioning’ explainer video which will inspire and explain at the same time. We will be using this video to approach high net worth individuals and companies as well as potential users and funders and full credits will be given in all publicity. We believe this project will require: Researchers and Writers - to understand the project mission and articulate it in a persuasive and original way Videographers - to begin to work with researchers to storyboard and/or create engaging content to visualise/narrate/explain the projects goals and objectives Graphic Designers / Illustrators - to assist with design and production as per above Other technicians as required by the production team The final deliverable will be:: A Great Video (of between 3 and 5 minutes in length)!
