Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

Juno, an AI-Powered Business Finance Broker, connects SMEs with suitable lenders through Generative AI. Juno AI broker assesses SMEs’ funding needs via a natural human-like conversation, which directly connects to and analyses business accounts, creates structured customer profiles, identifies optimal loan types, compares deals from finance providers, guides SMEs through digital applications, and offers post-funding support to both lenders and SMEs. Through natural conversation, Juno streamlines and simplifies the financing process.


We would like to collaborate with students to research solutions and build out the AI architecture of our product. Students will develop deployed AI agents to help accomplish the above steps. Areas of research will include:


  • Understanding of deployed LLM architecture
  • Understanding RAG applications
  • Understanding of data privacy and GDPR in LLM applications
  • Understanding of securing LLM applications from prompt injections, etc
  • Experiencing developing LLM agents with function calling, combining LLMs with API calls
  • Understanding how to optimise queries/token usage to minimise cost
What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, students should:

  • Have a firm understanding of optimised LLM architecture in production
  • Have developed LLM agents using various models and compared their performance
  • Understand how to secure LLM agents in production


How will you support learners in completing the project?

Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

  • Our current products and applications of AI / ML
  • The current data set and guidance in navigating it
  • Current industry standard approaches to AI / ML
  • Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.
What skills or technologies will help learners to complete the project?

In order to complete this project, students should be familiar with:

  • Modern LLM techniques and architecture
  • Prompt engineering techniques
  • RAG concepts
  • Software development using ML languages like Python
  • ML ecosystem tools such as Jupyter Notebook
