What is the main goal for this project?

We are a Canadian independent publisher of comic books, graphic novels and prose. But guess what? Youi don’t need to be a comic book expert (or even a fan) to succeed in this role.


We have a small but dedicated fan base, and we want to grow our email list to help increase sales and revenue.


To accomplish this, we are open to ideas such as:

  • Contests
  • Social media campaigns
  • Local media coverage
  • ?

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?
  • Research general email marketing principles
  • Don’t worry about a specific solution - e.g. mailchimp vs. sendfox
  • Assist with content that will help to attract subscribers
