Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

I am a published author from Central Alberta with a dark fantasy trilogy, a 5 book contemporary romance series, and 2 book fantasy romance series. The internship will allow the an in-depth experience of social media management and engagement, content creation, and relationship management with a client. 

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

The intern will read and review, pulling quotes from the 10 published books. They will create content, schedule, and manage socials including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook pages, Pinterest, as well as the blogs on the official author websites. They also will be scheduling 2 newsletters, and learning how to manage MailerLite and BookFunnel. 


***The intern will have to be comfortable editing sex scenes for the romance books, and scenes of torture and abuse for the dark fantasy.

How will you support learners in completing the project?

I will work one on one with the intern, starting with research and tips for marketing in the book publishing industry, before diving into creating a content schedule and establishing a routine for content creation and social engagement.

What skills or technologies will help learners to complete the project?

-Access to stable internet

-Laptop

-Experience editing

-Copyediting/proofreading course from BCS program

-Developmental/Substantive editing course from BCS program

-Experience with TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, MailerLite, LinkTree, Bookfunnel, Canva

-Familiarity with BookTok and Bookstagram

About the company

Morena Stamm grew up in central Alberta as the third of four kids. She has her Bachelor of Communications degree from MacEwan University, in Edmonton, Alberta, in 2017. After graduating, she moved back to her home in rural Alberta so she could focus on her writing while completing her Masters in Intercultural and International Communication at Royal Roads University, in Victoria, B.C, in 2020. She has written and published a dark fantasy trilogy, and under her pen name a 5 book contemporary romance series and 2 book fantasy romance series.
