What is the main goal for this project?

We are an online community for local Moms. We have grown our brand to be quite substantial over the past year and we would like to continue to grow as well as maintaining our tight community through engagement.


We have a good idea of what we want our content to look and feel like but are short on time to create a cohesive visual brand presence across multiple platforms.


We would like to collaborate with students to review and plan content to help promote our brand while actually keeping Moms engaged and coming back.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

  • Familiarizing themselves with our target market, products and services.
  • Reviewing marketing content on our social platforms & newsletter to provide feedback.
  • Recommend engagement strategies.
  • Reviewing our content calendar to give advice .
  • Batch content.
  • Create content templates in Canva to keep our marketing cohesive across the board.

Bonus steps in the process would also include:

  • Recommending search engine optimization (SEO) strategies so our materials are easily accessible.
  • Creating downloadable freebies for our community. (tips for new moms, resource guide, etc.)
What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

  • Familiarity with our target market, products and services
  • Deployment of marketing content
  • Improvement of reach & engagement

Bonus steps would include:

  • Recommending SEO strategies

Final deliverables should include

  • Marketing materials.
How will you support learners in completing the project?

Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

  • Our products and services
  • Our marketing strategies
  • Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.

I am a Real Estate agent based in Oxford County Ontario. I generate most of my business by building really strong relationships onlines via social media.

I host a local podcast called Selling Oxford which features other local small business owners.

I also am co-founder of the Oxford County Moms Club which is an online-turned-in-person community for Moms in the local area.

My goal is to build a strong personal brand that leads to more clients for my business.
