About the company

In Motion is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of youth in and aging out of the foster care system. Focusing on how mentorship, arts, and physical activity can benefit one's life to make someone more fulfilled, and goal oriented in their day to day activities. In Motion aims to help youth in Ontario from the ages 13-23 with better understanding what their rights are as children in the welfare system, finding what they like as hobbies, achieving goals, and preparing for adulthood and aging out from the help of Children's Aid. In Motion offers financial assistance for monthly expenses by providing 100.00 gift cards to grocery stores, transit, or clothing stores depending on what each youth's needs are. In Motion aims to help the community in multiple ways by running free arts and fitness classes accessible to all people to promote the importance of arts and recreation for young adults. In Motion also runs regular donations drives collecting clothing, house equipment, and food donations and gives the youth in the program the opportunity to look through each of the items and remaining items go to local shelters, community centers, or food banks to help the local community.
