project management podcastingVisit Tellegacy.org for more information about our program.. We would like students to deliver a 5-episode podcast series based on our company’s niche to resonate with our target audience.
This will involve several different steps for the students, including:
- Collaborating with the project manager to form a name and a theme for the podcast, and a topic for each episode.
- Script various components of each podcast episode such as the introduction, welcome, call to action, and outro.
- Create cover art for the podcast.
- Research and plan what will be discussed on an episode-by-episode basis.
- Record and edit each episode.
- Facilitating special guest appearances in one or more episodes.
By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities (this is basically a retelling of the steps above):
- Decided on a name and a theme for the podcast itself as well as each episode.
- Scripted the introduction, welcome, call to action, and outro.
- Researched and planned what will be discussed on an episode-by-episode basis.
- Recorded and edited each episode.
Bonus steps would include:
- Facilitated special guest appearances in one or more episodes.
Final deliverables should include
- A fully produced 5-episode podcast series.
Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:
- What general topics do we hope to cover?
- Are there any staff or professionals related to our company that we want to have as a guest on our podcast?
- How will we promote our brand and products/services each episode while still creating something that customers are interested in listening to?
- Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.
About the company
Why Tellegacy was started. After finding out from a community Chaplain friend that older adults in retirement communities were passing away, not from a pandemic, but from an epidemic of loneliness and a broken heart due to isolation from family and friends, Jeremy Holloway, PhD, decided to create a flexible, relationship-oriented mindfulness, goal setting and guided imagery curriculum that can be facilitated by University students via phone or virtually one-on-one with older adults in retirement communities. Tellegacy program make meaningful intergenerational connections, we think it can save lives.
