What is the main goal for this project?

The main Objective for this project is to develop and manage a holistic success-oriented educational support after school, weekend, and summer school programme for black immigrant youth attending primary and secondary school in Quebec, Canada, and Ghana, West Africa. The programme will focus on language acquisition in French using the means and modalities of performing and visual arts as motivation and self-actualization. Lessen Black youth drop of school.


This will involve several different steps for the students, including:


- Researching the educational needs of black immigrant youth in Quebec and Ghana.


- Developing a curriculum that integrates performing and visual arts into language acquisition.


- Organizing after school, weekend, and summer activities to support the educational needs of the youth.


- Collaborating with professionals, volunteers, and students to facilitate the programme.


- Establishing locations for the programme outside of big metropolitan regions.


What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities:


  • iCompetency and mastery of French curriculum expectation as aligned to grade and age criteria
  • Have greater self-awareness and creative potentials; because of exposure to, and experimentation with the Arts and with technology.
  • Evolve and mature as inclusively socialized, emotionally astute, and culturally aware of their own culture in a diverse stream of cultures.
  • Be responsible for acknowledging and respecting their rights and freedoms thereby becoming strong contributors to their commues


- Conducted research on the educational needs of black immigrant youth in Quebec and Ghana.


- Developed a curriculum that integrates performing and visual arts into language acquisition.


- Organized after school, weekend, and summer activities to support the educational needs of the youth.


- Established locations for the programme outside of big metropolitan regions.



Final deliverables:


- A comprehensive curriculum for the educational support programme.


- A plan for after school, weekend, and summer activities.


- A report detailing the research on the educational needs of black immigrant youth in Quebec and Ghana.


How will you support learners in completing the project?


Staff provides a safe supportive motivating multi sensory small group and individual learning environment to become more competent in French language acquisition and mastery by:

  1. Access to Digital materials thereby acquiring computer literacy, creating videos, digital photography, soft ware application and research skills
  2. Space to explore the body as an instrument, access to a variety of musical instruments, prepare for performances, arts and crafts.creative writing, Drama, elocution and stage production.



What skills or technologies will help learners to complete the project?
  1. Fluency in reading writing and speaking French
  2. Developed talents and abilities in the Performing and Visual arts
  3. Computer literacy, develop simple software programmes, use of powerpoint, excel sheets.
  4. Simple translation from French to English.


In order to complete this project, students can self-teach, but it is beneficial to be familiar with:


- Educational research and curriculum development.


- Event planning and organization.


- Community outreach and collaboration.


- Cross-cultural communication and understanding.



Nice to haves for students include


- Experience in working with immigrant communities.


- Knowledge of performing and visual arts as educational tools.



Students will be expected to research and learn more about the above as the project goes along.

About the company

Les Passerelles Globale-BRIDGES is an Educational Support, international organization working in Quebec, ca. and Ghana West Africa. Our main interest is Language and culture, inclusiveness, holistic educational support and economic viability of our immigrant youth into the hosting communities
In Quebec our theme is "Youth in Diversity," that is success integration of immigrant youth, (Especially youth) in the French education System.
Our plans method is emphasis on language acquisition using the means and modalities of the Performing and Visual Arts and intergenerational relations.
Our process is support through after school, weekends and summer activities. Here professionals, volunteers such as students or students practicing and honing their skills in universities, colleges and specialized programmes may helps grow
Our projects will evolve out of locations outside of the big metropolitan regions.
In Ghana West Africa, French is now an official an officially and mandated subject in elementary and secondary schools. Our goal is French Education support to the "grassroots." We aim to give the economically challenged an equal opportunity formalistic French acquisition. This project has been incorporated in Ghana since September 2023. It's robust viable and stable in continuous growth.
Our Moto: "Education is the root and route to liberty."
LPG also works internationally as an NGO, presently in Ghana West Africa Supporting the acquisition of French to grassroots learners. LPG does also humanitarian work.
The performing and Visual arts is our planned underpinning as means and modality of French language support.
